Terms of Service
Doctors Portal Ltd. · Effective date: 7 November 2026These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Doctors Portal’s website, mobile applications and related services (“Platform”). The Platform is operated by Doctors Portal Ltd. (“Doctors Portal”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. About the Platform
Doctors Portal is a health discovery and education platform powered by verified medical professionals. It enables doctors to publish health-education content and members of the public to discover, view, save, like, comment on and share content, and follow professional profiles. At launch, the Platform does not provide private doctor–patient consultations, private messaging or personal medical-record uploads.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it reasonably up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person, submit false information or allow unauthorised use of your account. Contact hello@doctorsportal247.com if you suspect unauthorised access. The Platform is not an emergency service; seek immediate medical care in an emergency.
3. Doctor registration and verification
Doctors applying for professional accounts or verification may be asked for their name, qualifications, specialty, professional registration/licence details and supporting documents. Doctors Portal may verify submitted information and may refuse, suspend or withdraw verification where credentials cannot be confirmed, are misleading or appear no longer valid. A verification badge reflects completion of the stated checks; it is not a guarantee of competence in every specialty, conduct or the accuracy of every post. Doctors remain responsible for their professional conduct and compliance with applicable rules.
4. Health information disclaimer
Platform content is for general health education. It is not an individual diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or substitute for assessment by a qualified healthcare professional. Viewing, liking, commenting on or sharing content does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Do not start or stop treatment, or delay care, solely because of Platform content. Consult an appropriately qualified professional about your circumstances.
5. Content review and doctor votes
Where enabled, health posts may be reviewed or voted on by verified doctors. A post reaching the stated threshold (currently 10 unique verified-doctor votes, if this feature remains enabled) may become eligible for wider display. Votes are moderation or discovery signals only; they do not certify clinical accuracy, completeness or suitability for every patient. Doctors Portal may label, rank, limit, remove or request changes to content.
6. User content and licence
You retain ownership of content you create, subject to third-party rights. By submitting content, you grant Doctors Portal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and adapt it as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and promote the Platform. The licence ends when content is deleted, except where retention is reasonably needed for backups, legal compliance, disputes, security or enforcement. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
7. Patient confidentiality
Doctors must not publish identifiable patient information, photographs, records, test results or case details unless they have a lawful basis and all required patient consents and professional authorisations. Remove identifying details wherever possible. Users should not post sensitive personal medical details in public comments or posts. The Platform does not currently offer personal medical-record uploads.
8. Acceptable use
You must not publish deliberately false or dangerous health information; impersonate a professional; harass, threaten or defame others; disclose private information without authority; infringe intellectual-property rights; manipulate votes, likes, followers or views; promote unlawful products or practices; introduce malware or attempt unauthorised access; or otherwise violate applicable law.
9. Moderation and reporting
We may use automated tools and human review to moderate content. We may remove content, restrict its reach, require edits, suspend features or suspend/terminate accounts where reasonably necessary. The Platform should provide reporting and user-blocking tools for user-generated content. Reports may also be sent to hello@doctorsportal247.com. We will review reports and take action appropriate to the circumstances.
10. Intellectual property
The Platform’s software, design, branding, logos and materials owned by Doctors Portal Ltd. are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit them without permission, except as permitted by law.
11. Third-party services
The Platform may rely on third-party hosting, analytics, security, email, authentication or other services and may link to external websites. Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Relevant data processing by our providers will be described in our Privacy Policy as applicable.
12. Availability, suspension and termination
We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal or business reasons. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion by contacting hello@doctorsportal247.com or using an in-product deletion option where provided. We may restrict or terminate access for breach, suspected fraud, security risks, legal requirements or conduct that may harm users or the Platform.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that all user-generated content is accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose, and publication does not mean Doctors Portal endorses every post. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.
14. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is explained in the Doctors Portal Privacy Policy. Please read it before using the Platform.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Platform or applicable law changes. We will publish the revised version and update its effective date, and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform.
16. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to mandatory legal protections. Contact: Doctors Portal Ltd.; https://doctorsportal247.com; hello@doctorsportal247.com.
